OUR MISSION

THE MISSION OF PPC IS TO KNOW GOD, LOVE PEOPLE, AND MAKE DISCIPLES.

KNOW GOD

Everything starts with Knowing God. We believe when people really get to know who God is and what He’s done for them, they can’t help but love Him. It’s not about religion—it’s about a real relationship.

LOVE PEOPLE

When you truly know God, loving people just makes sense. Jesus welcomed everyone, no matter their past or story. We believe the same: everyone matters! Around here, nobody walks alone.

MAKE DISCIPLES

We believe every follower of Christ is called to invest in someone else—reaching, teaching, and walking alongside them. Disciples make disciples, and we’re in it together.

OUR BELIEFS ABOUT

  • The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and perfectly preserved Word of God, a divine revelation from God to man.  It is true in all that it teaches. We accept the scriptures as the only authority for what we believe and how we live (2 Tim 3:15-17).

  • We believe that all men have sinned and stand in need of redemption, which is obtained through the new birth by faith in the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. And we believe anyone can be reconciled no matter what they’ve done. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ (Rom 3:23-25; 6:23; Eph 2:8-9).

  • As Christians, we are called to love God and others, joyfully worship Him, and live in a way that honors Him in thought, word, and deed. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we pursue a life pleasing to God. As a Pentecostal church, we believe the supernatural gifts of the Spirit are active today and available to all Spirit-filled believers (Mark 12:28–31; 1 Cor 12:8–10; 2 Cor 7:1; Rom 8:13–14; Gal 5:19–26; Heb 12:14).

  • There is only one God.  He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), as the Son, Jesus Christ (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit). Jesus Christ is the Son of God, that is, the One God manifested in and through an authentic human life. The fulness of the Godhead dwells in Jesus bodily. (Deut 6:4, John 14:9; Eph 4:4-6; Col 2:9; 1 Tim 3:16)

  • We believe the plan of salvation is most concisely recorded in Acts 2:38-39 and can be found woven and confirmed throughout the Bible. The Gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again on the 3rd day triumphant over sin and death. We believe and obey the gospel by applying it to our lives through repentance (death), baptism in the name of Jesus Christ (burial), and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost (resurrection) with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues. (1 Cor 15:1-4; 2 Thes 1:8; 1 Pet 4:17; Mark 1:15; Acts 15:7; Rom 6:3-4; Acts 2:4, 37-39; 8:9-17; 10:1-48; 19:1-7).

  • We believe in the pre-millennial return of Jesus Christ to rapture His Church before the great tribulation. At His coming, the dead in Christ will rise, and believers will be caught up to be with Him forever. Christ will then reign on earth for a thousand years. In the end, there will be a final resurrection and judgment—where the righteous will inherit eternal life with Christ, and the unrighteous eternal separation from God (1 Thess 4:15–18; 1 Cor 15:51–52; 1 Thess 1:10; 1 Thess 4:16-17; Rev 20:11–15).
